Private Firearm Training
This firearm training is for private individuals that need to do their Proficiency firearm training in order to receive a proficiency certificate & PFTC statement of results. This is required to apply for a competency certificate to own a firearm for certain reasons (self-defence, certain firearms for sport shooting & hunting) from their closes DFO (dedicated firearm control officer) at the police station.
The training can also be done privately to obtain the following competencies. Keep in mind that the learner/ trainee must obtain a certain level of competencies before He/She can go to the next level of training.
- Handle & use a firearm for Business purposes (handgun, self-loading rifle, manually operated rifle, and shotgun)
- Supervise shooting exercise – this unit standard is needed to be a range officer. In this unit standard the learner spends more time on the shooting range with other learners. Only a group of 10 or more learners at a time to gather in this unit standard. As the learner needs to give instructions on the shooting range.
- Prices depend on how big the groups are.
- Apply tactical knowledge in the use of firearms – this is if the learner/trainee needs a tactical certificate. For this unit standard, the learner will spend a week or more on the shooting range to master this unit standard. Hereby there must be 10 or more learners in this group exercise.
- Prices depend on how big the groups are.
- Supervise the operation of a shooting range and tactical shooting exercise – this is needed to be a range officer on a tactical shooting range. (not a firearm instructor) before starting this exercise there must be 10 or more learner entering this module. As this is also a group exercise and the learner will be monitored via an observation checklist and they will give instructions on the shooting range.

Corporate Firearm Training
Training provided to corporate businesses is as follows.
- Handle & use a firearm for Business purposes (handgun, self-loading rifle, manually operated rifle, and shotgun)
- Supervise shooting exercise – this unit standard is needed to be a range officer. Hereby the learner spends more time on the shooting range with other learners. - Regulation -21
- All security companies that make use of armed guards, armed response and close protection officers on permanent bases must send their employees once within 12 months for regulation 21 training as this is required by the government.
- The pricing on this exercise is R900 per person for Handgun with a valid firearm competency.
- For every firearm after the handgun there will be an extra R450 per person.
- Bootcamps & Teambuilding days.
- Bootcamps:
- This camp is where a group of people come together over a weekend or during the week and spend time in group exercises where fitness exercises are also involved.
- The pricing will be worked out of how many people are attending, what venues is available and what activities they want to do.
- Teambuilding:
- This is a group function during the week or on weekends. It is customisable and fully depends on the company’s needs.
- The teambuilding has fun activities and groups challenge each other.
- The pricing on teambuilding will be worked out on what size the groups are, what venue to be used and what activities are needed.
- Bootcamps:
In House Training
- Proficiency training for firearm competency (handgun, shotgun &self-loading rifle)
- The company will decide on price per staff member on the time of the request.
- The pass mark must be 80% or higher.
- Handle & use of different firearm for business purposes. (handgun, shotgun & self-loading rifle)
- The company will decide on price per staff member on the time of the request.

- Regulation 21 training. (handgun, shotgun &self-loading rifle)

- When the learner fails the shoot or the test, he/she must be re-assessed again as soon as possible after the first exercise.
- Vasbyt:
- In this course the company can select team for tactical members and do advance training.
- This course is normally needed when a company puts out an available position and then people apply for it. There will be a small selection phase before the initial vasbyt.
